MacCanon Brown Homeless Sanctuary
Sustainable Gardening
One of the biggest nutritional challenges of the residents of 53206 is the scarcity of fresh produce. Studies show that children who don't have vegetables introduced into their diet at an early age are likely to avoid them forever, which can lead to serious, long-term health problems.
At MBHS, our Sustainable Gardening Initiative addresses this through through multiple projects including our volunteer-run Community Gardens, and our future Urban Gardening and Aquaponics systems.
