Meet Essential Needs

We provide our guests with many resources necessary for quality of life. MBHS provides food, clothing, hygiene products, blankets and sleeping bags, and many other items and services  as they are available to us. These are some of the items and services we offer.

• Bicycles--children and adults

• Blankets, pillows, sleeping bags, mercy mats, mattresses, sheets, and other furniture

• Clothing, coats, hats, gloves, socks, boots, and hand and foot warmers

• Diapers and wipes

• Dishes and utensils

• Car seats and strollers

• Crutches, walkers, or a wheel chair 

• Cooking small appliances--microwave, hot plate, crock pot

• Feminine hygiene products

• Grocery store gift cards

• Hygiene products (shampoo, soap, deodorant, razors, combs, hand-sanitizer, and lotion)

• Health checkups (Onsite visiting nurses)

• Space heaters (winter) and fans/air conditioners (summer.)

• Suitcases on wheels, strollers, shopping carts

• Toilet tissue and laundry soap

• Wash cloths and towels

• Water

• And more. 

The Welcome Center at 2461 W. Center St. is open Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. -2:00 p.m.by invitation/appointment. 

Come winter we will have a warming space and temporary overnight accommodation, during especially frigid weather when exposure is likely to be fatal. We also have two bathrooms with showers (handicap accessible).
