For Volunteers

You can make a difference in the lives of many

Volunteers are the backbone of so much of what we do; we depend on the helping hands and generous hearts they bring. Our volunteers come from our immediate neighborhood, from every corner of Milwaukee County, and from suburbs as far away as Illinois. It doesn't matter what your background is, we will welcome you, train you, and share the experience of serving those in need.

These are some of our volunteer positions.

• Sorting and distributing food, clothing, hygiene, and household products in our Doorway Ministry

• Repairing and distributing bicycles

• Participating in special events

• Managing projects

• Conducting health check ups **

• Researching from home

• Providing legal advice

• Managing partnerships

• Coordinating and managing volunteer drivers for pickup and delivery of donated furniture.
   

  ** We seriously need more retired licensed nurses to join the already  formed MBHS team of volunteer nurses.
